Our services

Scrub cutting, mulching and flail mowing for overgrown, steep, hard-to-reach land.

Scrub cutting and land mulching for thick vegetation, neglected paddocks and terrain conventional mowers can’t reach. As a specialist mulching contractor, we bring machinery built for the difficult jobs: vegetation management and vegetation control that reclaims your land. We also handle woolly nightshade removal, privet removal and section clearing.

Flail mowing & mulching

Flail Mowing & Land Mulching

From open paddocks and rolling ground to suitable banks, gullies and difficult-to-access areas, our commercial 4×4 flail mowers and remote-controlled tracked mowing equipment cut and mulch overgrown vegetation in place. We assess vegetation, terrain, ground conditions and access to determine the right machinery for each job.

  • Commercial flail mowing and vegetation mulching on suitable rough and uneven ground
  • Remote-controlled tracked mowing equipment for suitable steep and difficult-to-access areas
  • Vegetation control without spraying, burning or cart-away

Our equipment

Scrub cutting machinery for whatever’s growing.

No two properties are the same. Steep banks, rough paddocks, tight access, dense scrub and heavy overgrowth all present different challenges, so we bring machinery suited to the job and the terrain.

Our specialist flail mowing and mulching equipment is built to tackle everything from long grass and neglected paddocks to gorse, blackberry, scrub and saplings, including areas conventional mowing equipment simply can’t reach.

From undergrowth clearing and machine brush cutting to heavy scrub cutting, we have the equipment to get in, mulch it down and get it back under control.

Why flail mowing

Flail mowing: why it’s our go-to.

A flail mower uses dozens of small hinged blades, called flails, on a spinning drum instead of one or two big blades. Each flail hits the growth many times as it passes, so grass, scrub and woody stems are chopped into fine mulch rather than left in long, matted rows. If a flail strikes something solid hidden in the growth, it bounces off instead of grabbing it and throwing it, which makes flail mowing a safer choice near fences, roads and houses.

That fine mulch is the whole point of land mulching. It covers the ground and breaks down, so scrub clearing leaves no raking, no burn pile and nothing to cart away. For a side-by-side comparison, see our guide to flail mower vs slasher, or read what affects the cost of land clearing.

We offer flail mowing, land clearing and mulching services across four regions. See where we work, or go straight to the region nearest you: Northland, Auckland, Waikato or the Bay of Plenty.

Flail mower hire

Looking to hire a flail mower? Hire ours, with the operator.

Hiring a flail mower means towing it, learning it and taking on steep or rough ground yourself. Book our 4×4 flail mowers and remote-controlled mulchers with the operator instead, and the job gets done safely and quickly, without the hire yard, the trailer or the risk.

Tell us about the block and we’ll quote the job, not the hire. Flail mower or slasher? Our guide explains which suits your ground, and a few photos is all we need to quote.
